All riders to wear colours, boots, and breeches, in accordance with Rule 123. All weights lOst in Saddle Trotting Races. Previous performances must be sent in with the nominations in all cases where they have not already been notified to the Club, and the horses or ponies performed at a meeting of the Auckland Trotting Club. No horse foaled out of the colony shall run for any race under the Rules of the Club until the owner has produced, to the satisfaction of the Stewards, evidence of the identity of the horse, a certificate of some racing club of the country where the horse was foaled, or from a magistrate residing therein, or a statutory declaration from some person knowing the horse, stating the age, sex, pedigree, colour of the horse, and the marks by which it is distinguished. On no pretence whatever will nomination or acceptance money be returned through a pony being over height. Stakes paid less 5 per cent, for expense of course. Judges of Trotting having been appointed, any horse in their opinion not trotting fairly may be called out from taking any further part in the race. Any jockey refusing to come out of the race when called upon by the said Judge or Judges may be fined or disqualified. No entry will be received for any race except on this condition—“ That all disputes, claims, and objections arising from the carrying out of this programme, shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or whoever they may appoint. Their decision on all points connected with the carrying out of this programme to be final. All communications to be addressed to the Secretary, Durham Street East, Auckland. The Committee or Stewards may call upon any owner to prove to their satisfaction the bona fidts of his horse at any time, or in any manner they may desire.
