AUCKLAND TROTTING CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING.
The annual meeting of the above club was held in their rooms, Durham Street East, on Monday afternoon. There was a good attendance of members present. Mr W. Adams occupied the chair. The annual report was read by Mr 0. F. Mark (the secretary), and the profit and loss account showed a credit balance of £97 12s lOd, after an expenditure of £65 in sending delegates to Palmerston North and Wellington on three different occasions, the results of which conferences have proved most satisfactory in placing trotting matters on n. sounder basis throughout the colony. Associations have been formed in bofh the North and South Islands, and, though each association will -work under its own management, they will both recognise the same rules, which should tend to terminate all the friction hitherto existing between trotting clubs generally throughout New Zealand. A word of praise must be accorded the Palmerston delegates for the energy they have shown in putting the affairs of the northern club in working order. The fol-
lowing outgoing members were re-elected to the committed A. R.' Harris,- J. S' A. Coates, J. Hunter,.D. Harford, J. Rowe,’ aha S.'C. Oaulton. ■ J
