Nominations will close at the Secretary’s office, Marton, on SATURDAY, August 22nd, at 8.50 p.m. Weights will be declared on or about the 29th August, in the “Advocate” and “Mercury.” Acceptances and General Entries on SATURDAY, sth September, at 8.30 p.m. Weights for Second Day’s Races will be declared on the evening of WEDNESDAY, 9th September, at 9 p.m. Acceptances on the same evening at 10 p.m. RULES. 1. Horses qualified to run at this meeting are those which have never won a race of over £4O, hack and hunters excepted. 2. A hunter means a horse whose owner can produce, at the scales, a certificate from the Master of any Hunt Club that the horse has been ridden to hounds during the past season to the satisfaction of the Master. 3. The Rules of Racing, as adopted by the Metropolitan Clubs of New Zealand, strictly adhered to. R. E. BECKETT, Secretary.
