Baker’s bitch, Bangle, had been found dead, and, as she proved a winner at Avondale last June, we present our coursing readers this week with a picture of this once promising bitch. Mr A. B. Pearson, the Squire of Kilmany Park, is said to have the most powerful kennel of greyhounds in Australia. He owns Waterhen (the Benalla Waterloo Cup winner), Happy Jack (who recently defeated Bloomer), Cauldron, and i Songster. The Benalla Plumpton Coursing Club’s Wa- .' terloo Cup of £65, runner up £22, and third dog £lO, was won by Mr A. B. Pearson’s b w b puppy, ’ Waterhen, by Blackbird —The Witch, who defeated Mr J. Carpenter’s blk w d Confidence, by Game Boy—Westeria. Bloomer won two courses in this stake, but was beaten in the third round by Confidence. Colonel North’s executors have, by request of -the late Colonel, presented Mr E. Dent with the well-known greyhound, Fullerton. The hero of four Waterloo Cups has returned to his old home at the Short Flatt Kennel, where he will end his da Shylock and Black Feather, recently purchased by Mr J. W. Russell, were expected to arrive in Auckland yesterday.
