Excellent nominations have been received by ahe N apier Park Racing Club for the remaining events on their programme. With the weight alloter up to his usual standard, and if Captain Edwin will only favour the Park people with some of his very best in the way of weather, a successful meeting may be anticipated. Mr John Close, president of the Napier Park Racing Club, left by the Tasmania for a trip to Sydney and Melbourne. His health has not been of the best lately, and his numerous friends—and they are legion—hope that he will benefit by the change. The Napier Park Racing Club have decided to exclude bookmakers from their Winter Meeting. After a wearisome and vexatious period of waiting, the Napier Park Club has received the necessary totalisator permit. .
