Sports, consisting of horse racing and ancient “ Maori swing” will be held at Rewiti, on Easter Monday, in conjunction with ti e Good Templars Picnic. There will be cheap railway excursion fares.. A wrestling mat ch, which has excited a good deal of interest in Kuaotunu, was finished on Sat urday morning. The contestants were Southland and Leehy, the former being the winner. Tri the second fall only half a minute had elapsed when he threw Leehy over his head, a remarkable performance. A match has been made for £25 a side by T. Tuohey, Sutherland’s trainer, against Donald Dinnie, who undertakes to throw Sutherland six times within an hour, Grecio-Roman. — Thames Advertiser.
