RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. Definition <>e a Hack.—A hack means a horse that has never won an advertised race to the net value of more than 40 sovs, hack and hunter races excepted. 2. Nominations and acceptances (in proper form prescribed) must be accompanied by the necessary amount payable, otherwise they will bo rejected. If nominations and acceptances are telegraphed, the fees must be forwarded by first mail thereafter. This rule will be strictly enforced. 3. Nominat ions must state name, age, colour, pedigree and past performances, where not known to the handicapper, and colours to be worn by the rider. 4. The winner of any advertised race after the declaration of the weights to the net value of 39 sovs to carry a penalty of 51b in the Sandon Handicap and Tramway Handicap, and 7lbsin the Flying Handicap. 5. Previous performances of the horses to be given at time of nomination, also colours of the riders. All horses must be ridden and driven out. If distanced by first horse, second and third money will be paid to the winner. All protests to be accompanied by a fee of 2 sovs, to be forfeited if the protest is not sustained.
