First Handicap Hurdles of 70 sovs; second horse to receive 10 sovs from the stake. The winner of any Handicap Hurdle Race, after the declaration of the weights, to carry 7ib extra. Nomination, 1 sov; acceptance, 2 sovs. Over seven flights of hurdles. About one mile and a half. First Handicap Hack Hurdles of 40 sovs ; second horse to receive 5 sovs from the stake. The winner of any Hack Handicap Hurdle Race, after the declaration of the weights, to cany 71b extra. Nomination, 1 sov; acceptance, 10s. Over seven flights of hurdles. About one mile and a half. Taranaki Jockey Club Handicap of 300 sovs; second horse to receive 30 sovs, and third horse 15 sovs from the stake. The winner of any handicap of the value of 250 sovs to carry 71b ; 150 sovs, 51b ; 100 sovs, 31b extra. Penalties not cumulative. Nomination, 1 sov ; acceptance, 2 sovs ; and a final payment of 5 sovs before 8 p.m. on night before the first day’s races. One mile and a half.
