He won 32 races out of 66 starts. Billing sgate has proved his ability to get the best steeplechase horses in the country, he being the sire of Mangere, Justice, Pica, Jessica, Gipsy, and Orakei. The following two also won races in Australia : Forget-me-not and Piaroa; the latter has won a number of steeplechases in Melbourne, carrying big weights. Terms : Single mares. £3 3s; Groom’s Fee, 2s 6d (to be paid on first service). Two or more mares the property of the same owner by agreement. All fees to be paid by January Ist, 1896.
