Mr G. J. Newman said that the system advocated by Mr Samuel to pay out on placed horses should come to pass, as it was successful in places in Australia.—Mr Dingle thought that the idea was a good one.—Mr Samuel moved, “ That tho Stewards and Committee, with power to add to their number, be empowered to go into the question of the division of the totalisator money, and make a recommendation.” Mr Dingle advocated that an outside totalisator should be used at ten shilling tickets.^—Mr King said it was a matter for the committee. —After some discussion the matter dropped. Mr Cock said that certain improvements were necessary at Ihe course ; for instance, a stewards’ luncheon room was necessary. Several other matters were discussed, and the meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the chair.
