A subscription is being raised in Melbourne to place a monument over the grave of Henry Cusdin. Until of late years French (rotting horses were handicapped by weight on their backs. This was soon judged to be an unnatural system of handicapping, but, a very good one for breaking up a trotter under the abnormal efforts he must make to speed under weight and traction combined.
