Handicap Hurdle Race of 50 sovs ; second horse to receive 5 sovs from the stakes. Distance, one and a half miles. Over six flights of hurdles 3ft Gin high. Nomination,-1 sov; Acceptance, 1 sov. To start at 1 p.m. 4. Foxton Racing Club Handicap of 125 sovs ; second horse to receive 10 sovs, and third horse 5 sovs from the stakes. Distance, one and a half miles. Nomination, 1 sov; Acceptance, 3 sovs. The v-inner of any 7 flat handicap of the value of 50 sovs and upwards after declaration of the weights to incur- a penalty of 71bs, not accumulative. To start at 1.50 p.m. 5. Anniversary Stakes of 20 sovs ; second horse to receive 2 sovs from the stakes. Distance, one mile. Hacks shall mean horses that have never won an advertised stake exceeding the net sum or value of 40 sovs at time of start, hack and hunter races excepted. ..In all nominations, description, age and pedigree of horse must be given, together with the colours of the rider. The Committee reserve the right to alter any of the abovd dates. The advertised fee must in every- case accompany- nominations and acceptances. All races to be run under Wanganui Jockey Club Rules, and the Rules of Racing. No betting allowed on the course, except through the medium of the Totalisator. All stakes paid in full. j. r.
