Nominations for all handicaps must be in the hands of the Secretary, at the Waitara Hotel, on Saturday, November 10th, not later than 9 p.m., accompanied by the name, pedigree, age, colors, and performances of horse. Telegraph office closes at 5 p.m. Handicaps appear on Saturday, November 24th. Acceptances and General Entries close on Saturday, December Ist, at 9 p.m. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Defintion of a Hack. —A hack is a horse that has not won an advertised race of anydescriptiqn(HaekandHunter races excepted),and has not at the time of start, and has not been during the six calendar months previous to the time of starting, nominated for any race (Hack and Hunter races excepted). All horses must be ridden in colors, same to accompany acceptances and general entries. No nomination or acceptance will be received on any pretence whatever after the hour named, or without being accompanied by the necessary amount enclosed. The attention of horse owners is particularly called to this regulation. All races to be ran under the Rules of Racing, as adopted by the Metropolitan Clubs of New Zealand. No entry or nomination will be received for any race except upon these conditions, that any disputes, claims, and obj ections arising shall be decided by a majority of the stewards present, or whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final, except in cases of appeal, provided for by the Rules of Racing.
