The principal event on the Boxing Day card of the Wairenga-a-hika Jockey Club’s meeting will be the Boxing Day Handicap, of 120 sovs, one mile and a half. The Flying Handicap, 6 furlongs, and Handicap Hurdle race, 2 miles, have been valued at 60 sovs each, and the Maiden Plate, 6 furlongs, for two-year-olds and upwards carries a purse of 25 sovs. The other events are : —Half-mile Scurry of 10 sovs, four furlongs ; Hack Hurdles of 15 sovs, one mile; Handicap Hack Flat Race of 15 sovs, 1 mile; and Forced Handicap of 20 sovs, 1 mile. Nominations are due on November 24th; weights will be declared on December Ist; and acceptances are timed to arrive at 9 p.m. on December 15th.
