The policy that Sir Blundell Maple is pursuing appears rather peculiar, says Man of the World. He breeds on an extensive scale, and enters his horses liberally ; but he has only one jockey, and that individual weighs less than 7.0. As in most of the races contested by Sir Blundell the impost is 8.12, which means that nearly 2.0 dead weight has to be carried, he runs at a great disadvantage.
