To start at 12.30 p.m. Maiden Plate Handicap of 20 sovs. One mile. For horses that have not won an advertised race of more than 20 sovs at time of starting. 5 sovs out of the stakes to go to second horse. To start at 1.15 p.m. Pony Race of 20 sovs. One mile. For ponies 14 hands 2 inches and under. 5 sovs out of stakes to go to second pony. To start at 2 p.m. Ohinemuri Cup of 60 sovs. One mile and a half. 10 sovs out of stakes to go to second horse. The winner of the Te Aroha Cup to receive a penalty of 71bs. To start at 2.45 p.m. Miners’ Purse of 20 sovs. One mile. 5 sovs out of the stakes to go to second horse. To start at 3.40 p.m. Publican’s Purse of 30 sovs. One mile and a quarter. 5 sovs out of stakes to go to second horse. T* start at 4.30 p.m. Forced Handicap of 15 sovs. One mile. Compulsory for all winners, optional for any other horses. To start at 5.15 p.m. DATES OF NOMINATIONS, DECLARATION OF WEIGHTS, AND ACCEPTANCES. WEDNESDAY, February 28th, nominations for all races except the Forced Handicap will be received by the Secretary at his office (office of the Ohinemuri Gazette'), Paeroa, up to 8 p.m. . , , MONDAY, March sth, weights will be declared by Handicappers and telegraphed to all nominators. SATURDAY, March 10th, acceptances will be received by the Secretary at his office, Paeroa, up to 8 p.m. RULES AND REGULATIONS. The Auckland Racing Club’s Rules to be strictly adhered to. Entrance money to be paid at time of nomination, and particulars as to name, age, and colour of horse, name of owner, and colour of rider to be given. Jockeys will be fined 10s 6d for not riding in true colours. Qualification fee for owners, 10s 6d. Nomination fee, 2J per cent, on stakes; Acceptance fee, 2| per cent, on stakes. Five per cent, deducted from stakes for course expenses. Ttae starters or no race. All disputes, protests or objections arising out of the racing to be decided by a majority of the Committee: their decision to be final. Protest fee, one guinea. EDWIN EDWARDS, Secretary.
