The Judge’s Bay annual regatta was held last Saturday, and proved an entire success. The weather conditions were fairlv satisfactory, although at times the water was a little lumpy for the rowing events. The starting of the sailing events caused some heartburning owing to several boats being left behind through their not being ready at the appointed time. Mr Graham, the starter, contended that he was perfectly within his rights in despatching the boats which were ready at the advertised time. He certainly has that right, but it was questionable policy to be so particular, especially when his exactness meant robbing the events of half their interest. The results were as follows: — Yachts and fishing boats (centreboard 4-rating and under) — Mabel 1, Waimare 2. Yachts, 7 ton rating and under —Anahera 1, Ngaru 2. Keel yachts, 3-rating and under— Gloriana 1, Corina 2, Rogue 3. Open sailing boats, 18ft and under —Bit o’ Blue 1, Mabel 2. Maiden gigs (under ten stone) —St. George’s 1, North Shore 2, Auckland 3. Maiden whaleboats—Waitetemata 1. Senior gigs—Auckland 1, City, 2. Ladies’ pair-oar—Misses Smith, 1; Misses Clare and Payne, 2. Greasy boom—J. Hull, 1. Junior gigs (under lOst) —Auckland, 1. Maiden gigs— Waitemata, 1 ; Auckland, 2; City, 3. Junior gigs—St. George’s, 1 ; Manukau, 2.
