At a clearing sale of Mr W. T. Jones’ horses, held in Melbourne on March 13th, there was a good deal of competition for Litigant, the V.R.C. Oaks winner of. 1890 (who is a daughter of Mar-tini-Henry), and T. Hales, the whilom jockey who has now retired from the saddle and has a stud farm of his own, secured her for 3 logs.
