Nominations for Novel Race to be made to the Secretary before 9 p - m. on Friday, March 31st, day of general entry. Five per cent, to be deducted from the stakes to go to the improvement of the course. No nominations or acceptances will be received on any pretence whatever (whether through miscarriage of mails, telegraph, or otherwise) after the hour named or without being accompanied with the necessary amount of cash. Attention of Owners is particularly called to this Regulation. Performances and description of all horses and the colours of the riders to be sent in with all nominations or acceptances. For all horses that have never won an advertised trotting race exceeding 30 sovs in value. Nomination, 1 sov; Acceptance, 1 sov. Distance, two miles. Flying Stakes Handicap of 35 sovs; second pony to receive 5 sovs from the stake. For ponies 14 hands 2 inches and undi r. Nomination, 10s; Acceptance, 20s. Distance, five furlongs. April Handicap Trot of 130 sovs ; second horse to receive 20 sovs and third horse 10 sovs out of the stake. All entrants will be handicapped as having trotted 3 minutes 5 seconds or better to the mile. The winner of any trotting race after the handicap is published to receive a penalty of 12 seconds behindits original start.
