Atalanta is dam of the speedy Paddy, Kegel, and Hippomenes. , Beanstalk retired from the turf early, having injured his stifle by running on to a post, and has since then been doing stud duty on a station, where he has thrown some splendid stock. He is very easily kept, never having been pampered and is in very hearty condition. The mares that he has served this season only visited him once and are all in foal.
