RACING PROGRAMMES All persons intending to withdraw horses are requested to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of Scales one half hour before the official time of starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine not exceeding 5 sovs to the race fund. All races to be run under the A.R.C.’s new rules. Six furlongs. 2. 12.45 p.m.—First Hack Hurdle Handicap of 40 sovs; second horse to receive 5 sovs from the stakes. For horses that have never won a race over the value of 40 sovs (hack races excepted). Nomination, 10s. Acceptance, Isov. One mile and a half. 3. 1.30 p.m.—Maiden Hurdle Race of 20 sovs. Horses to be maidens at the time of starting. Lowest weight lost. Entry, 1 sov. One mile and a quarter. 4. 2.30 p.m.—Manawatu Racing Club Handicap of 200 sovs; second horse to receive 20 sovs, and third horse 5 sovs from the stakes.
