Tttere were four races of the Wanganui Jockey Club’s Autumn Meeting that closed last night, with the result that 15 were nominated for the First Hurdles, 9 for the Welter Handicap, half-a-dozen for the Corinthian Handicap, and 16 for the Second Hurdles. The hurdle entries are certainly satisfactory, but the same cannot be said for the others. The list of entries is as under : — First Hurdle Handicap of lOOsovs, two miles and a distance.—Disturbance, Magpie, Paradox, Jacob, Glenelg, Gladius, Lady Leger, Gondolier, Oaklands, The Spy, Oddfellow, Empire, Kaimanawa, Jenny, Whalebone. Welter Handicap of 60sovs, one mile. — Musket, Paradox, Strephon, Blooms bury, Stranger, Bay King, Jenny, Torpedo, Durus. Corinthian Handicap of 60sovs, one mile and a distance.—Durus, Paradox, Lady Leger, Strephon, Stranger, Bay King.
