Auckland R.C.’s Summer, 1894-5.
The attention of owners is directed to the conditions of the Great Northern Derby and Foal Stakes, to be run at the Auckland Racing Club’s Summer Meeting of 1894-5. The conditions of each race are advertised in another portion of this issue, and owners of youngsters must not forget that the day of nomination is January 13th next.
Auckland R.C.’s Summer Meeting. Owners having horses engaged at meeting are reminded of the following payments on Saturday, December 24, 1892, by 12 noon :— The Great Northern Foal Stakes, the forfeit of 5 sovs to be declared and paid, or the nominator will be liable for whole of sweepstakes, 10 sovs. Monday, December 26, 1892, at the post: —
Great Northern Foal Stakes, sweep, 10 sovs. Auckland Cup, sweep, 10 sovs. Maiden Steeplechase, 2 sovs.
Saturday, December 31, 1892. by 12 noon: —
The Great Northern Derby, the forfeit of 5 sovs to be declared and paid, or the nominator will be liable for the whole of the sweepstakes, 15 sovs. Takapuna Jockey Club’s Summer. The undermentioned nominations for this club’s meeting, on January 28 and 30, close with the secretary, Mr R. Wynyard, at Devonport, or at Mr Blomfield’s office, Durham street, Auckland, at 9 p.m. to-morrow week :— Takapuna Cup of 200 sovs, li miles, 1 sov. Takapuna Jockey Club Handicap of 150 sovs, 1| miles, 1 sov. Handicap Steeplechase of 150 sovs, about 3| miles, 1 sov. The full conditions of each race are advertised in another column. Marton Jockey Club’s Summer. The following acceptances for this meeting are due this day week, the 29th inst., at noon. First Handicap Hack Hurdles of 30 sovs., about 1| miles, 1 sov. Flying Hack Handicap of 30 sovs, 6 furlongs, 1 sov. Open Flying Handicap of 40 sovs, about 7 furlongs, sovs. York Farm Handicap of 60 sovs, about 1| miles, 2 sovs. Marton Summer Handicap of 75 sovs, 1| miles, 2 sovs. Second Hack Handicap Hurdles of 25 sovs, about 1 mile and a distance, 10s. The full programme of the meeting is advertised in another column. Auckland Trotting Club’s Summer. Owners who have horses engaged at this meeting must not forget that acceptances for the day’s events close to-night week, the 29th inst., at 10 o’clock. The programme appears in the advertising columns of this issue.
