CASTOR (imp.), by Zealot (son of the famous English sire Hermit, winner of the Derby 1867) out of Lady Yardley, by the great Sterling (sire of Isoaomy—said to be the greatest racehorse of his day). Castor was a great performer at all weights and distances, winning 22 races out of 28 starts. His stock are particularly promising, robust, and handsome, showing great bone and substance. Terms : 15 guineas for two or more mares belonging to one owner, and 20 guineas for single mare. ST. LEGER (imp.), by Doncaster (Derby winner) out of Atlantis, by Thormanby (Derby winner).
