COURSING.

The Auckland Coursing Club, whose operations it is proposed to hold at Avondale, have received information that the wire for their Plumpton Ground will reach here on the 15th inst., and they have decided to hold a meeting early' in September. The Christchurch Plumpton Park Coursing Club commenced their Waterloo Meeting on Tuesday, when two rounds of the Waterloo Stakes were run off. There was a capital attendance and some excellent sport resulted. At the finish of the second round the following dogs were left in the stake :—Lancashire Lad, Mizpah, Hazelwood, Avonside, Heart of Grace, Bess Morley, Beadonwell, Bit of Fashion and Tainui.
