Feather-weight asks: —i. Can a horse carry 6st in a flat race ? Answers : Yes, in a weight-for-age race. 2. If a horse should be given that weight by the handicapper and should win. could he receive the stakes if the owner of the second horse carrying Bst 71b entered a protest on the grounds that the lowest weight a horse can carry is 6st /lbs ? Answer : According to Rule 38 of the Rules of Racing he could not do so, and the stakes should go to the Bst ylb horse.
