RACING PROGRAMMES TROTTING CLUB. Auckland Trotting Club Rules. SPRING MEETING, TO BE HELD AT POTTER’S PADDCCK, EPSOM, ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 1891. MAIDEN TROT HANDICAP of 40 sovs., second horse to receive 5 sovs. from the stake. For all horses that have never won an advertised Trotting Race exceeding 30 sovs. in value. Nomination 205., acceptance 20s. Distance 2 miles. FLYING STAKES HANDICAP of 30 sovs., second horse to receive 5 sovs. from the stake. The winner of any handicap after the declaration of the weights to carry a penalty of 71b. extra. For ponies 14 hands 2 inches and under. Nomination 10s., acceptance 10s. Distance, five furlongs. HANDICAP TROT of 50 sovs., second horse to receive 5 sovs. from the stake. TRAMWAY HANDICAP of 30 sovs., second horse to receive 5 sovs. from the stake. The winner of any handicap after the declaration of the weights to carry a penalty of 71bs. extra. Distance, one and a-half miles, over six flights of hurdles. HANDICAP PONY TROT of 40 sovs., second horse to receive 5 sovs. from the stake. For ponies 14 hands 1 inch and under. The winner of any trotting race after the declaration of the handicaps to receive a penalty of 10 secs, behind its original start. Nomination 1 sov., acceptance 1 sov. Distance, two miles. DATES OF NOMINATIONS, ACCEPTANCES, Etc.Acceptances close on FRIDAY, 18th September. Handicaps to appear about September 11th. All penalties cumulative. RULES. In all Trots time handicaps. All riders to wear colours. Horses to carry lOst; ponies 9st. (for Pony Trotting Races only). Previous performances must be sent in with the nominations in all cases .where the horses or ponies have not already performed at a meeting run under the Auckland Trotting Club rules. On no pretence whatever will nomination or acceptance money be returned through a pony being over height. Penalties cumulative in Flying Stakes and Tramway Handicap. Stakes paid less 5 per cent, for expenses of course. Every trainer shall have his horse at the post, ready to start, at the time appointed by the Stewards, and every jockey is to be weighed out 10 minutes before the advertised time for starting the race. Any jockey not being weighed out at least 10 minutes before the said advertised time, will be fined in a sum not less than 2 sovs., and not exceeding 10 sovs. Every trainer not having his horse at the post, ready to.start at that time, may be fined in a sum not exceeding 10 sovs. Special attention of owners, trainers, and jockeys is directed to the above rule, which will be strictly enforced. Judges of Trotting having been appointed, any horse in their opinion not trotting fairly may be called out from taking any further part in the race. Any jockey refusing to come out when called by the said Judges may be fined cr disqualified. All communications to be addressed to the Secretary, Durham Street East, Auckland. C. F. MARK, Secretary.

For all horses the bona fide property of farmers in this district, at the discretion of the Committee, whose lands the hounds have liberty to run over. To be ridden by farmers, their sons, or amateurs. Entrance 10s., acceptance 10s. each, to go to the funds. Distance, once round the Steeplechase Course.
