The match between Ponsonby 11. v. Parnell 11. resulted in a win for the t latter by 9 points to nil. Ronayne, Meilis, Peachey and Hodgson secured tries, one of which Meilis converted, and Mitchell potted a goal from the field. The matches between City 11. v. Suburbs 11. B and City 111. A v. Parnell 111., were both won bv City, on account of their opponents not putting in an appearance. Harry Hale played a fine game for Ponsonby against Parnell last Saturday, ( his collaring being very sure. Palmerston North beat Feilding by 5 points to nil. The Huntly footballers have at length persuaded the Hamilton team to meet them, and the match will take place at Ngaruawahia—which is about half way between the two places on Saturday, the 22nd inst. It should be a very evenly fought contest.

A meeting was held last night in the Ellerslie Hotel by the local Football Club, when it was decided, as the Club was well in funds, to hold the annual dinner on the 21st of this month, as a fitting send-off to Willie Aitken, the popular stationmaster, who is leaving to take charge of the Taupiri station.
