A.R.C. COMMITTEE MEETING.

The Committee of the Auckland. Racing Club met at their rooms yesterday, Messrs. Thos. Morrin, J. Dickey, R. Duder, J. Russell, J. Kirkwood, L. D. Nathan and W. McLaughlin being present. ’ The first Friday .in each month, at 2 p.m., was fixed upon as the date and time for future s meetings. The following appointments were made :— Col. Dawson, Vice-President; Mr. J. Dickey, Treasurer ; Mr. T. Brown, Clerk of the Course ; Mr. F. W. Marks, Clerk of the Scales ; Mr. J. 0. Evitt, Handicapper; Mr. Jno. Kirkwood Judge; Mr. Geo. Cutts, Starter; Messrs. Waymouth and Son, Auditors; Mr. W. Percival, Shrcetary. Messrs. Morrin. Kirkwood, Nathan, Dickey and Duder were elected as a Finance Committee. The fixtures as passed are as follows : — First Spring Meeting, Saturday, 19th September. Second Spring Meeting, Saturday and Mon- , day, 7th and 9th November. The other meetings are the same as usual, , with the exception of an additional day to the Winter Meeting, which is to be called “ The North Island Grand National Steeplechase Meeting.” Messrs. H. T. Gorrie, J. F. Haultain, F. Sharland, J. H. M. Carpenter and Col. Car rd, together with the members of the Committee, were elected Stewards. The Poverty Bay Racing Club’s programmes for the 20th October and 12th and 13th January, as.well as the Whangarei County Racing Club’s for Bth and 9th January, were passed.
