FIRST HANDICAP HURDLE RACE of 25 soys. Second horse to receive 5. sovs. out of the stakes. Distance, two miles, over eight flights of hurdles, about 3 feet 6 inches in height. Nomination, 10s.; acceptance, 15s. 4. DARGAVILLE CUP, a handicap of 60 sovs. Second horse to receive 5 sovs., and third horse 3 sovs. out of stakes. DATES OF NOMINATION, ACCEPTANCES, AND ' GENERAL ENTRIES. Nominations for all handicaps (hack races excepted) will be received by the Secretary, at hisoffice, Victoria-slreet, Dargaville, and Mr. H. H. Hayr, Auckland, up to 8 p.m. on SATURDAY, February 28th. Weights for races to be run on first day will be declared on THURSDAY, March sth. Acceptances for first day’s racing and General Entries (Auction Stakes and Hack Races) close at the Secretary’s office, Dargaville, and with Mr. Hayr, Auckland, at 8 p.m. on THURSDAY, 12th March. Weights for races to be run on second day will be declared at 9 p.m. on first day of racing, and acceptances for same close at 10 a.m. on second day. RULES AND REGULATIONS. All races to be run at the ’meeting held subject to Auckland must be accompanied by a deposit of 1 soy., which sum will he forfeited to the funds if protest be not sustained. Persons nominating must state age, pedigree, and performances of horses. Colours to be worn by riders must be stated on or before Thursday, 12th March, and persons failing to do so wiU be compelled to run in colours entered by the Secretary on their 6 Winners to pay five per cent, of gross winnings towards the eX The S Auckland o Racing Club Rules relating to notification of penalties, scratchings, and the wearing of distinguishing colours will be strictly enforced.
