Six racehorses arrived yesterday to take part at the Summer Meeting. ' They were Strephon, Rosefeldt, St. Andrew, Kapu, Pani, Waterfall. Pony and Galloway Racing are at last brought under strict rules in England, and according to the Field a most successful meeting was brought off under the N.P. and G.R.R. at Abbey Park, Northampton, on October 30th. There - are several other good meetings held at Hereford, Monmouth, Manchester, and other places. It is a great pity that this kind of sport is not recognized by the Metropolitan Clubs in New Zealand, for as things are now there is any amount oi.swindling going on.
