Handicap Hack Race of 10 sovs. For all horses that have never won a handicap or weight-for-age race exceeding the value of 10 sovs. Distance 1 mile. Handicap Hurdle Race of 25 sovs. Distance 2 miles, over 8 flights of hurdles about 3ft. 6in. high. * Trial Stakes Handicap of 20 sovs. Distance 1 mile. Whangarei Racing Club Handicap of 50 sovs. Distance if miles. Flying Handicap of 15 sovs. Distance 7 furlongs. Maiden Steeplechase Handicap of 25 sovs., 5 sovs. ‘to go to second horse. Distance about 2 miles, over such ground as the Stewards shall direct. SECOND DAY. Handicap Maiden Plate of 15 sovs. For all horses that have never won a race of the value of 10 sovs. up to the time of entry. Distance 1 mile and a distance. Kensington Park Handicap of 30 sovs. Distance if miles. Northern Steeplechase Handicap of 35 sovs., 5 sovs. out of the stakes to go to the second horse. Proceeds of sale above the nominated value of the winner to be equally divided between the owner of the second horse and the Club. The Farewell Handicap of 15 sovs. Weights to be declared tiy 8 o’clock on the night of the first day’s races. Acceptance at 10 p.m. Distance 1 mile. NOMINATIONS. Nominations for all Handicaps to be forwarded to the Secretary under seal and endorsed “Nomination,” on or before 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 30th, 1890. Weights to be declared on Saturday, January 4th. ACCEPTANCES AND GENERAL ENTRIES. Acceptances and General Entries will be received by ‘the Secretary, at Whangarei, up till 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6th. Nominations, Acceptances and General Entries will be received in Auckland on behalf of the Club by Mr. W. Adams, Durham-street, on the same date and hour as the said nominations, &c., close at Whangarei. All races to be run under the Auckland Racing Club Rules.
