PAKURANGA HUNT CLUB.
The Races To-Day. The above-named Club will bring off their annual race meeting this afternoon, and as the weather promises to be fine, a good afternoon’s sport may be looked forward to. Nothing of importance has transpired since last Saturday with regard to the different horses engaged, except that Costley is reported to have pulled up lame after yesterday morning’s work, and is a very unlikely starter at the meeting. The course is bound to be in a very heavy state after the recent rainfall, which will affect the running considerably, more especially the top-> weights. The following are my selections for the different events Open Hurdle Race—Larrikin I, Nap 2, Satyr 3. Hunt Club Cup —Hurricane 1,2, 2, Jim 3. Flying Stakes—Capella j, Prudence 2., Nigger 3. J Farmers,’ Plate - Falcon 1, Shotover 2, Ma. Pqt. Filie Members’Hurdleßace —Nap i,Fragance 2, Hurricane 3 Maiden Plate—My Queen 1, Fishmonger 2, Iron.
