Mr. H. N. Abbott, the well-known proprietor of the Opera House and Theatre Royal is now on a visit to this city from Sydney. Mr. Harry Davy left for Wellington per “ Wanaka ” on Thursday last. Emu : “ There’s something wrong with the whisky.” --Landlord : “ Nonsense ; your, mouth must be out of order. I always keep the best of whisky.” Emu r “ That’s just it. If you’d keep the worst and sell the best we’d be better pleased.”
