ENG LAND.
The coronation of King Ed waul VII. in Juno next will, it appears, be made the occasion for gathering together the Prime Ministers of the British possessions from one end of the earth to the other. Imperial Conferences are to be held wherein the assembled^ mighty ones of the earth may in solemn conclave discuss such questions of government as are of equal import to the welfare of the Mother Country and the least important of her offspring. These conferences augur well for the continuation of the bond of union, of which we have heard so much during the last two years.
The Duke and Duchess of York have at the time of writing reached Capetown on their return journey, and the ceremony of welcoming them home frour their accomplished mission will shortly commence, the conclusion of which they will doubtless hail with undisguised delight, and accept with pleasure a well-earned respite from the monotonous round of eternal receptions and welcomings to which they have been subjected during their trip.
