March 21. At the Pictures. His Majesty's Theatre has been very well 'attended of late. Amongst the audiences- I have noticed:—-Mrs. (Dr.) Singer and the Misses Donner and Bennett, Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Dodgshun. Mr. and Mrs. Gray Barton. Mr. and Mrs. O'Meara, Mr. and Mrs. Preston, Mr. and Mrs. Macdonald, Mrs. wnd Master Traill, Misses. I. Lewis and G. Pyke, Mrs. and

Miss Kennedy, Mr. and Mrs. H. Bennett and Miss f. Chrisp, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Rees and the Misses Rees (2), Mr. and Mrs. E. Adair, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Faulkner, Mesdames T. A. Crawford and (Dr.) Scott 'and Miss Crawford. Tennis. In spite of the heat on Saturday a fair number of tennis enthusiasts turned up at the courts. A delicious tea was provided by the Misses Watkins (2) and G. Pyke. Amongst those present were: Mesdames Hine, Matthews, Traill, Field, Agnew-Brown, (Dr.) Morrison, Callis, (Dr.) Singer, Fenwick, Henderson, Porter, Parker and H. de Lautour, Misses de Lautour (3), Black (2), Coleman, Graham, Davies, Agnew-Brown, Williams (2), BuH, Kennedy, Bennett, Donner, Callis, Hine, Gray (2), Waters, Nelson, Dunlop, Bradley, Gardiner, and Stock. Personal. Mr. and Mrs. K. S. ’Williams, of Tupu.roa, left last Friday en route for a trip to the Old Country.. Mr. and Mrs. Aldred, who have been staying in. Gisborne, have gone on a visit to Christchurch. Miss Mhinitt, who has been spending a holiday in Auckland, Iras returned to Gisborne. Mrs. and Miss Ludbrook have returned to Gisborne.

Mr. F. Dunlop, of Auckland, is at present in Gisborne.
