December 20t h. Concert. Madame Kirkby Lunn gave one concert in Wanganui. She had a very enthusiastic reception, and received several beautiful shower bouquets. Her frock was a beautiful emerald green charmeuse with overdress of the same toned ninon with tiny gold spots, the skirt had a wide band of gold embroidery bordering the ninon, and forming a pannier effect, the same on the front of the corsage, which was cut square, and in the front the ninon had a magnificent diamond ornament, the elbow sleeves were edged with gold embroidery. Dr. and Mrs. Bernau, of Napier, have been staying in Wanganui recently. Dr. and Mrs. Harding and Miss Harding, of Wellington, have been in Wanganui. Mi-. Bartmi, of Hawera, has. been staying in Wanganui recently: Miss Moore, of Hawera, has been in Wanganui for a few days.
