Ihirinn tin- hr that completely demolished the hotel building recently, a further block of business premises was endangered, but the flames were prevented from spreading further than Crowther and Bell’s stables, one wall of which ignited. The fire broke out in the afternoon, and >\\ept through the hotel before there was time to save more than a few pieces of furniture. Our photographer was on the seem* with his camera when the devastating conflagration was in progress.
