AUCKLAND.
December 9. Gathering of Doctors. THE annual meeting of the Auckland division of the British Medical Association was held at the hospital on Wednesday. Special invitations were sent to country members, of whom a large number were present, In the afternoon Dr. Maguire acting-superintendent of the hospital, and Mrs. Maguire, were “At Home" to a large gathering of town and country doctors and their wives, besides a fair sprinkling of laymen. One very notable feature of the party was the number of men present, and everyone seemed to enjoy this charming party. After tea a large party were “personally conducted” by Dr. Maguire over the hospital. Tea was served in the dining room and the table was daintily decorated with sweet peas in shades of pink, piled up dishes of strawlterries making rich spots of colouring. Mrs. Maguire wore a dainty floral muslin in pale shade of blue and green on a white ground: Mrs. Pabst, lagoon blue silk poplin coat and skirt, blue hat with touches of cerise: Mrs. Ho|ie Lewis, smart grey coat and skirt,
black hat; Mrs. AV. H. Park Vs. smart black and white frock of white charmeuse. veiled with black ninon and finished with embroideries, black hat with plumes; Mr-. Drummond Ferguson, saxe blue .Shantung suit, blue tagel hat with shaded blue plumes, Mrs. Aubin, white taffeta with fine black stripe, finished with a pretty bodice draping of black and white silk lace, putty coloured hat with white feathers; Mrs. Bertram (Rotorua), white cloth coat and skirt, black plumed hat; Airs. A. Kinder, Shantung suit, very pretty hat draped with pale pink; Mrs. Fuller \i (Takapuna).

Buddle, brown taffeta with short coatee, smart blaek hat; Mrs. Lindsay, silver grey charmeuse with Oriental embroidery, blaek hat with white feathers; Mrs. Copeland Savs-je, smart rose pink epor.ge doth froek, w.ch silver buttons, pretty blaek hat; Mrs. Bedford, grey charmeuse doth, black hat wreathed with flowers; Lady Lockhart, a very smart frock of emerald green charmeuse, veiled with black ninon, smart blaek plymed hat; Miss Saidie Wynks, in a black Shantung suit, smart blue hat and feather boa; Miss Una Buddle, a smart grey suit, small feathered hat; Mrs. A. Herrold, a pretly white frock and large blaek hat; Mrs. Nicol (Cambridge). dainty white froek, black picture hat; Mrs. Williams, shot blue taffeta with short pannier of lovely blue beaded net, smart hat to tone; Mrs. Reece, smart mole coloured ecat and skirt, blank hat with white feathers; Mrs Sharp, a pretty blue frock, with hat to match; Mrs. Napier, well-cut cream poplin with lines of blue, smart black hat; Mrs. H. Marsack, long grey dust coat with smart touches of black, floral hat; Mrs. I. Alexander, a smart black crepe de chine frock, black hat; Mrs. E. Davis, blue taffeta coat and skirt, smart feathered bat; Miss Bagnall, putty-
coloured cloth coat and skirt, cream hat with shaded pink roses; Mrs. Le Praike (Thames', a smart blue coat and skirt, black and white hat.
