November ill. A Pleasant Afternoon. A very pleasant afternoon for girls was given by Mrs. White-Scott last Tuesday. Two guessing competitionfl kept the guests well amused. Prizes were presented to the winners. Miss Grut and Alisa Aileen Warren. Airs WhiteScott received her guests in a pretty white linen frock. Amongst others present were: Misses Putman (Wellington), Burgesh Beard (2), Warren (3), 'Marshall, Grut, Hair (2), Hughes (2), Davis (Napier), Smith. Shekleton, Moore, Avery, Wakeman, Thomas. Afternoon Tea. Mrs. Warren (Konini) gave an afternoon tea on Friday last for her two guests, Misses Davis and Smith. Music and competitions afforded great amusement. Prizefl for the competitions were won by Missea Shekleton and 11. Marshall. / Personal. Mrs. Isaacson io flpending a holiday at Pli in inert on. Miss Putman (Wellington) is the guest of Airs. White-Scott. Alisscfl David (Napier) ami Isabel Smith are the guests of Airs. Warren (Konini). Mrs. Tullock is visiting Napier. Airs. Marshall (Mang.itaiuoka) iff claying at Plimmerton. The Miflses Beard are the guests of Airs. Davidson. Airs. Avery is vifliting Wanganui. Sir Henry and Lady Miller (Oamarn), who have been visiting their sons, have returned South. Airs. Russel Grace (Alakuri) is the gm*t of Mrs. Stead (Christchurch).
