A parts of Smith Inland howlers arrived in Auckland last week. ami were given a Mayoral reception nt the Town Hall. ’l’he visitors were on a tour of the North Island, ami. after playing in Auckland. they went on to Hamilton. Rotorua. Tauimirunui. Plpirlkl. Wanganui. Palmerston North, and Wellington. 'l’he illustrations show a genera! group of the \Mtors and a number of snaps taken during the matches In Auckland. Mr C. .1. Parr (Mayor of Auckland) mentioned that of late a very kindly finding had been brought about Ind ween Auckland ami the Southern cities of Christchurch and iMinedin. whence the bowlers cuine. 'This excellent finding had. he maintained, been very largely promoted by the Interchange of visits of members of the bowling fraternity.
