DANNEVIRKE.
November 16th. Tennis. In spite of the wind there was a very good attendance of members and their friends at the opening of the Dannevirke croquet and tennis courts on Saturday afternoon. Delicious afternoon tea was presided over by Airs A. E. Ranson and Mrs Giesen. Amongst those present, I noticed: —Alesdames Roake, Rathbone, Tomlinson, F. Cowper, Lawford, Robertson, H. Cowper, Giesen (Wellington), Vartan, Black, Nyniand, Prichard, R. Robertshaw, F. Clarke, Alisses Ryan, Irvine (2), Black, Knight, Robertson, and Baker. Personal. Airs W. Dawson left for a short visit to Wanganui on Monday. Mrs If. Hill is spending a few weeks in Welling! on. Air and Airs IL Giesen left, on Wednesday on a motor trip to Taupo and the Hot Lakes. Miss Ryan and Air Keith Ryan returned on Saturday from an enjoyable holiday spent in Auckland and Rotorua. Dr. and Airs Giesen (Wellington), have been spending a few days with Air and Airs Herbert Giesen. Aliss Cowper has returned from a trip to Wanganui and Palmerston. Dr. and Airs Coates returned from Napier on Wednesday. Mrs W. Green is spending a holiday in Palmerston. Aliss Wiltshire returned from a visit to Wellington on Saturday. Mrs A. AlcNieol left on a visit to Napier on Alondav.
