November IG. Tennis. In spile of the cold wintry day on Saturday there were a large number on the College »Str<*et tennis courts. - Afternoon tea was provided by Mrs. and Alias M<»ore. Shakespearean Club. On Friday evening the Shakespeare Club had a very sful reading of ‘■’Captain Brassli.mnus Conversion,’’ by Bernard Shaw. Mrs. Sampson wore a black and white striped gown with bands of blaek silk insertion; Mrs. Babbage, black silk with cream lace; Mrs. Bal lance, black silk and lovely black satiiv opera coat; Miss JJrewett. black charincuse robe with hands of steel embroidery on her corsage; Mrs. Houghton wore a pretty rose pink satin frock, with a champagne opera coat; Miss Nearnc. black silk with net, long pastel blue opera coat: Miss Nancy Cameron wore a white frock and pretty opera coat; Miss \V. Anderson, Miss Brewer, black silk with bice; Miss Dnigan. white gown with lacc and smart rose pink opera coat; Mrs. Blair, black silk frock; Mrs. J. .Stevenson, blaek charmeuse, long black, satin opera coat, with cream; Miss Stevenson wore a blaek velvet gown with real lace on bodice and pale blue sash; Mrs. 1). Fairburn, blue velvet and long grey satin opera coat, blue in her coiffure. Fancy Dress Dinner Party. tin Thursday evening Mrs. A. Wilson gave a fancy dress dinner party in honour of Miss D. Birch, (Marton), navy blue coal and skirl, small blaek hat. with Paisley shaded scarf and black wing; Mrs. C.
