Bene Lcnehan, and Blanche Blau, the four bridesmaids, were attired in dainty frocks of pink kilted ailk, with panniers of ortolon coloured ninon and lace, and small, close-fitting hats massed with pink .rose*. Each carried a pink rose bouquet, and wore a cameo and pearl necklet as gifts from the bridegroom. Miss Katie Decry and Master Curtis, dressed respectively as a Dresden •shepherdess and a shepherd, in white satin, carried crooks with posies of roses. Mr 11. N, MacT,aurin officiated as last man, and the groomsmen were Dr. George Curtis, Dr. (Waddell, and Dr. Ritchie. A quiet but pretty wedding was’solemnised at St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, Auckland; last Wednesday morning, when Miss Doris Gittos, daughter of -‘Mr John Gittos, of Ponsonby, was married to Mr Frederick Leo Prime, son of •Mr J*. Prime, of Cheltenham, Dcvonport. The Rev. Isaac Jolly performed the ceremony, and was assisted by the Rev. AVm. Gittos, uncle of the bride. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked very pretty and dainty in an ivory silk poplin, with a stylish lace coatee, and a ’beautiful white’tagel hat. with white lancer plumes; sin: carried a lovely shower bouquet. McGovern, of Greenmeadows, was married to Mr John O'Sullivan, of Matapu. Taranaki. The chureh was packed to its utmost limit. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in beautiful soft duchesse satin. with fichu of duchesse point lace and graceful train. She wore a handsome white lace hat with trimmings of soft satin, white lancer plumes and satin streamers, and carried a beautiful bouquet of cyclamens, roses, and maiden hair ferrs. Aliss B. AlcGovern, sister of the bride, acted a-s bridesmaid, and wore a charming frock ol apricqt esilk eolinne, with trimmings of guipure lace and black velvet touches, large cream leghorn hat, wiith cluster of silk flowers and black velvet trimmings, her bouquet consisting of pink roues ami maiden hair fern. At the conclusion of ths ceremony, a large number of gupsts assembled at "Greennicadows," where u sumptuous wedding breakfast, was partaken of, a marquee having been erected on the lawn for that purpose. The happy couple left by the 2.30 train for a general tour of the Dominion. The bride travelled in a beautiful tailored grey costume, with trimmings of silk brocade, large black tagel hat, swathed with black and white tulle and black lancer plumes. The bridegroom presented the bride with a beautiful gold bracelet set with rubies and diamonds, and to the bridesmaid a gold amethyst pendent set with pearls. Farncll, was married to Mr. William Wright, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Wright, late of Bed ford, England. Canon AlaeMurray was the officiating clergyman, while Dr. Thomas presided at the organ. Tim bride’s girl friends had decorated St. Alary's Cathedral, where the ceremony took place, and as the bride and bridegroom left Hie altar ribbons were pulled by Hie two younger bride-maids, and a shower of rose leaves fell on lhe happy' couple. The bride looked very charming in her beautiful gown of ivory satin, with long court train suspended from her shoulder by peart spray brooches. Her veil was worn over a quaint lace cap, I logift of her aunt, and she carried a b'-auti-ful shower bouquet. Miss Ethel Laurie (sister) and Miss Kathleen Laurie (cousin) were chief bridesmaids, wearing pretty dresses of creme satin, and large picture hats. Miss Hazel Laurie ant Miss Doris Wright (sister of lhe bride groom) wore dainty shell-pink frock-, and quaint mob caps with wreaths of pMe pink rosebuds. They all carried -bower bouquets, shading from pale pink Io crimson, and all wore gold bracelets, the gifts of the bridegroom. A lovely littletot, Eileen Lauric, dressed in creme satin, mob cap, and carrying a basket of flowers, aided as train-bearer to the bride'. Air. Lauric gave his daughter away, and

Eden, on October 22nd, when Miss Aladeline Alice Ivy Brett, eldest daughter of Mr. A. G. Brett, Epsom, was married to Air. Robert Brian Douglas, second sn» of the late Air. John Douglas, of llawera, Taranaki. The Rev. Air. Afaefarland officiated. The bride, who was given away by her lather, wore a dainty frock of net "over white satin, long veil of white tulle, am! orange blossom, and carried a shower bouquet of white roses, dootzia, and maiden hair fern. The bridesmaid was Aliss Vera Brett, sister of the bride, who wore a white voile frock, prettily embroidered with pink and black, luge black hat profusely trimmed with pink roses and black net, and carried a bouquet of pink roses. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. George Glenn, of Alanaia, as best man. The church was very prettily decorated with white Howers by some of the bride’s girl friends. Alter the wedding Mrs. Brett, wh > was gowned in a pale grey voile fro.k. relieved with toucltcs of black and white, pale grey hat trimmed with black ostrich plumes, and carried a bouquet of lilac and wistaria, received a lew guests at her home, ”Koor.ili,” Epsom. DODGSHUN—DAVIES. A wedding in which considerable interest was taken was celebrated at Holy Trinity Church, Gisborne, on October 13, when Ali-ss Freda Davies, second daughter of Mr. and Afrs. C. P. Davies, was married to Air. Gordon Dodgshun, second son of the late Mr. Joseph Sydney Dodgshun, of AVaipiro Bay. The Ven. Archdeacon Williams officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked very graceful in a beautiful gown of white satin, with a square court train, one corner of which had a true lovers’ knot in Mechlin lace. The bodiee ami sleeves were draped with Mechlin lace and finished with tiny pearl edging. A beautiful veil of very old Limerick laee fell in graceful folds over a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried an ivory prayer-book and a beautiful bouquet of lilies of the valley and maidenhair fern. She also wore the bridegroom’s gift, a fine gold chain with pale blue aquamarine drops. The bridesmaids, Misses Nina Davies and Gertrude Dodgshun, wore beautiful gowns in an apricot shade of satin de sole. The bodices were trimmed with a one-side effect with eream shadow lace. The skirts were finished with small satin buttons. Their large blaek tagel picture hats were trimmed with smart creme 1-rcne’i ostrieh feathers, and large blaek jet buckles. They carried beautiful bouquets of shaded cream roses and autumn leaves. The bridegroom’s presents to them were gold rings set with green tourmalines. Two small pages, who followed the elder bridesmaid, were Aliss Rita ATatthews, who was dressed in Early A’ictorian style, and Master Paul Williams, who was dressed in a white sailor suit. Air. G. AVillock acted as best man. and Mr. E. Beamish was groomsman.

After the eeremony the guests were all entertained at Mr. and Airs. C. P. Davies’. A large marquee was erected on the back lawn, and was beautifully decorated; a large white floral bell being suspended from the centre. Mrs. C. I’. Davies, mother of the bride, wore a -becoming gown of grey resilda velour with a chemisette of aluminium over pale blue silk, small black silk straw toque, with pale blue and black shaded ostrieh feather, and she carried a beautiful pink rose shower bouquet. Mrs. Dodgshun, mother of the bridegroom, wore a beautiful gown of peacock blue satin, with blaek ninon overdress; smart toque of cream straw, and entirely covered with champagne coloured feathers; and she carried a beautiful bouquet of. cream roses and asparagus fern. The eeremony took place in All Saints’ Church (which was beautifully decorated with masses of white broom and quantities of arum lilies), and was conducted by the Rev. Dean Fitchett and the Rev. C. Allen. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a handsome gown of soft white corded silk, the bodiee finished with lace and chiffon, the whole completed by a long watteau train hanging from the shoulders, tulle veil, and carried a most exquisite bouquet. Two bridesmaids were in attendance, Aliss Afaxwell Moody and Aliss Watson, who wore charming frocks of peachcoloured charmeuse and oyster-coloured chiffon, smartly made in the new panier style, large silk hats of the same colours, and carried most lovely bouquets of pale pink and blue maiden hair fern. The bridegroom was attended by Mr .Adams and Dr Inglis as groomsmen. After the ceremony the bridal party proceeded to Air Simpson's residence in Royal Terrace, where a spacious marquee had been erected and decorated with white broom ami sweet peas, and a large wedding-bell of white flowers was suspended in the hall, where Air and Airs Simpson received their guests. A quiet wedding took place at the Mornington Anglican Church, Dunedin, last Tuesday, the bride being Miss Alice Burnett, daughter of Air and Airs George Burnett, Dunedin, and the bridegroom Air H. Hardcastle, of Auckland. The eeremony was performed by the Rev. Archdeacon Ncild. The bride looked very sweet, wearing a simple dress oi solft white silk, veiled in embroidered net and daintily finished with transparent yoke and touches of laee and white flowers. Later in the afternoon Mr and Airs Hardcastle left by motor, rhe bride wearing a grey tailor-made costume, and hat with blue. ALPES—CUFF. A pretty wedding took place at St. James’ Church, Lower Hutt, on November 14. the bride being Aliss Averil Cull, daughter of Air and Airs AV alter C. Cuff, the bridegroom Mr Robert Alpes, Auckland. The church had been decorated for the occasion, the service was choral, and the Rev. Joshua Jones was the officiating clergymen. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a handsome gown of cream -satin with long train falling from the shoulders, the bodiee was trimmed with chiffon and lace. Her long tulle veil was worn over a cluster of orange blossom, anil her bouquet was a shower one of white carnations and lilies of the valley. Hill, of Christchurch, was solemnised at St. Mary’s Church, Henvale, on November 13, the ceremony being performed by the Venerable Archdeacon Gossct. The bride wore a gown of white striped ninon over satin, and wore a tulle veil.
