October 12 On the Links. On Wednesday there were a large number at the Belmont links. The weather was beautiful. The golf season is almost over, next Wednesday’ being probably the last tea-day. Misses Bates, Harper and others gave a delicious afternoon tea. The approaching and putting match for a prize given by’ Airs. Hutton, was won by Airs. Izard. Amongst those present were: Airs. 11. Good, Mrs. Izard, Miss Cave, Alisa Harper, Alias Bates, Miss C. Bates, Airs. D’Arcy, Airs. L. Williams, Miss G. Christie, Aliss Spenser, Miss Alontgomery-Aloore, Aliss R. Fairburn, Aliss Lambert, Aliss A. Lambert, Miss D. Brettargh, Aliss Parsons, Airs Von Ilaast, Miss Dymoek, Aliss R. Nixon, Miss 11. Anderson, Airs. John Anderson, and many more. A team of Wanganui members of the ladies’ golf club journeyed to’Waverley und Hawera. They were defeated by one game by the former club, but they defeated the Hawera ladies by two games. Amongst those who went up the eoast were; Airs. Aleldrum, Airs. Imlay Saunders, Aliss Parsons, Aliss Lambert. Aliss A. Lambert, Miss R. Nixon. Aliss Bates, Aliss C. Bates, Airs. Aleßeth, Aliss McBeth, Aliss Harper, Mm Ida Stevenson, and others. Personal. Miss Cave, of Wanganui, has returned from her visit to Waverley. Airs, and Miss Gilford Alarshall. of Wanganui, have returned from their visit to Christchurch and Wellington. ■ Mrs. Kennedy, of Wellington, is staying in Wanganui with her daughter, Mrs. A. Wilson.

Aliss D. Christie, of Wanganui, is staying at Braneepethy with Mrs. Beetham, VVairarapa. Miss Mason. of Bulls, is the guest of Mrs. H. Good in Wanganui. Airs. Glenn, of Wanganui, has returned from her visit to relations in Hawera. Mrs. Lethbridge, of Pahiatua, who has been staying in Wanganui with her mother, Mrs. W. Anderson, has returned to her home. Air. Rennet. of Stratford, has been staying in Wanganui with his sister, Mrs. IL Bayly. Aliss Armstrong, of Wanganui, has been spending some weeks in the South Island. Airs.
