Orange Blossoms.

MOGRIDGE- GIRLING. <rrr VERY pretty wedding took place f I at Blenheim last Wednesday af--4 * 2 ternoon, when Miss Florence Girling, youngest daughter of ihe late Mr and Mrs W. B. Girling, was □tarried to Mr Frank Mogridge, second ion of Mr and Mrs G. Mogridge, Famlam. The ceremony, which took place hi th t’hur-h of the Nativity, was fully choral. both the bride and bridegroom having been members of the choir. The church was prettily decorated for the occasion by friend-. The Ven. Archdi aeon Grace was the officiating minister. The bride was dressed in cream dm-hes- satin, with an overdress of marquisette edged with pearl embroidery’. She wore the customary veil entwined with orange blossoms, and carried a shower bouquet of white lilies interspersed with maidenhair fern. The biide- were Misses M Girling (sister of the bride). G. Mogridge (sister of the bridegroom!, and Alison Corry. Miss Girling was attired in pale mauve chairmanse overlaid with ninon, and a purple velvet hat: while she carried a mauve muff sprinkled with violets and maidenhair fern. The other two bridesmaids were robed in cream charmeuse, with fiehus of ninon, and wore pearl Juliet caps and carried eream muffs with spr.ivs of violets, the bride was given away by her brother. Mr W. G. Girling, and as she was leaving the church she was presented with a floral horseshoe by* little Miss Edna McCallum, a niece of the bridegroom. Mr Gordon Litchfield was best man. while Messrs A. Rose and S. Mosridge acted as groomsmen. A reception was afterwards held at ‘ Fine Grove,’’ the residence of Mr. W. T. Girling, and subsequently Mr and Mrs Mogiidge left by motor-car for Pieton, in route to Melbourne and Sydney. The Sride’s travelling outfit was a blue tweed rostume with a grey hat trimmed with royal blue. and grey fox fur. The bridegroom presented the bride with a gold watch bracelet. Miss M Girling with a garnet p- n lant, and the other two bridesmaids -with gold brooches. The bride’s present to the bridegroom was a gold albert.

DECK—IIOBV. Af the Vivian Street Baptist Church, Wellington, on Tuesday of last week, the marriage took place of Miss Grace Hoby, eldest daughter of Air. and Mrs. Hoby, to Dr. If. L. Deck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Field Deck (Sydney). The Rev. Mr. North officiated- The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a pretty gown of ivory white satin charmeuse, with crepe de chine tunie, braided in silk; the bodice was draped with Honiton lace, her long tulle veil fastened with clusters of orange blossom, and her bouquet was a shower one of freesias and roses. Miss Erica Hoby, her sister, was the only bridesmaid, and she wore a frock of white crystalline, with a hat of black tagel straw, with roses, and her bouquet was of violets. The best man was Mr. Grant (Sydney). A reception was held at- the residence of the bride’s parents, Abel Smith Street, after the ceremony, when a large number of guests were present. Mrs. Hoby (mother of the bride) wore a gown of black peau de soie, veiled in amethyst coloured ninon, blaek lace scarf, violet- hat, with shaded roses; her bouquet was of violets. Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. Maltby and Mr. and Mrs. Gibson, from Dunedin, and Mrs- Milner, from Oarnaru. Mrs. Hubert Hoby (sister-in-law of the bride) wore grey velvet, with Oriental embroideries, large grey hat with pink roses. Dr. and Mrs. Deck left for their honeymoon during the afternoon, the bride's travelling dress being grev, with grey furs, and a grey hat with plumes. She also wore the bridegroom's gift, a pendant of aquamarines on a silver chain. The bridesmaid’s present was a gold bangle. Dr. and Mrs. Deck leave shortly for Sydney, where their home will be.
