A Waikato farmer found it advisable to put on a ragged suit of clothes in order to repair some machinery. After he hsd finished he went home to dinner. He met a tramp coming out of Ms front gate n» he went in. The tramp mistook him for a knight of the road. He held up a warning hand “Duck it—retreat," cautioned the tramp. '‘l’ve just tried her and shafa a regular bearcat.**
