New Burglar Alarm.

Au unknown burglar, who jeuimied his way into the bachelor apartments of Police-Judge A. B. Treadwell, San Francisco, had a desperate hand-to-hand battle with a dummy man, operated by an electric burglar alarm, which the judge had devised. When, the burglar on the step that made the electric man move he thought his time Lad ror.ts, but he went at bis enemy in the dark, using a window-weight as a club. No one, however, called “time,” and when iho burglar dealt the knock-out blow, ’’judge' of his “alarm’’ on finding that he had done for his unknown opponent. He made tracks; but they’ve not bwn traced even by Judge Treadwell.
