December 2. Bridge. Mrs Atkinson gave a very enjoyable bridge party in honour of Miss Dews < Auckland). Among the guests were Mesdames Willis, Cotterill, Roberts, Horrocks. I'itzherbert, (lillespie, McAllum, Misses Spain (2), Miss Dews and others. The prize was won by Miss Dews. Mrs McAllum had a very delightful little bridge afternoon, among the guests being Mrs Halliday, Mrs Bull, Mrs Horrocks, Dlrs Kingdon, Mrs Alymer, Mrs Roberts, Mrs Montgomrie, ami others. Personal. Mr and Mrs Halliday have, -returned from 'Wellington. Mrs Wool lams is still staying in Palmerston North. Mrs (lillespie lias gone to Wellington for her sister's wedding. Miss Dewes (Auckland), who has been staying with Mrs Willis for the last three months, has returned. |■> 1 Mr and Mrs Walpole lune returned to TVilding after six: months' visit to the Old Country. Miss l.ivesey (Marton), who has been visiting her brother Dr. T.ivesey, has returned. Mrs Peat, who has been spending three weeks in New Plymouth, is home •gain. .TUI.
