October 26. Bridge Club. The Ladies Bridge Club entertainment came to a conclusion with a very pleasant afternoon at Mrs. Roberts’ residence, “The Hill,” when the prizes were presented. Miss Spain won the first prize, and Mrs. HaMiday the second prize. Personal. Dr. and Mrs. Willis are spending a few days in 'Wellington. Mrs. Harrison (Wanganui) is the guest of Mrs. Peat. Rev. and Mrs. Innes Jones and family have gone to Otaki for a few weeks. Miss Sandelands is visiting friends in Wellington. Miss Prior lias returned from a short visit to Wellington. Mrs. Long has gone to Wellington to meet her son, Dr. Long, who has returned from America. Mrs. and Miss O'Halloran, who have been visiting friends in Auckland, have returned. Mrs. Horrocks has just returned from Wellington., where she has been spending a week. Mr. F. Clayton, local manager lor the Bank of New Zealand, has gone to Australia for a few weeks, and Mr. Mentiplay (Wellington) is relieving in the Feilding bank during Mr. Clayton's absence. Mrs. (Dr.) Rowlands is the guest of Mrs. Barton. TUI.
